40GOALS · Can you score 40?
Privacy
This page explains what the 40GOALS website stores on your device and which outside services it uses. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
What the game itself stores
40GOALS has no accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
The game saves one thing: your achievement progress. That is which achievements you have unlocked and when, plus a few counters they need (such as how many builds and seasons you have completed, and which eras, clubs and Wildcards you have played). It is kept in your browser's local storage on your device and is not sent anywhere by the game. A build or a season in progress is never saved.
The game's own code does not set cookies and does not include analytics or tracking. You can delete your saved progress at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Sharing your result
Nothing is shared unless you choose to. Share with friends uses your device's own share menu; Share on X and Share on Facebook open those websites in a new tab with your result text and the game's link filled in; Copy result copies the text to your clipboard. The text contains your overall rating, finishing position, goals, club and season.
Services the website uses
The website uses the following outside services. Depending on which page you visit, your browser may connect to these services, and they may receive technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address and browser type:
- Hosting: the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which delivers the pages to your browser. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Fonts: the game's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, on Google's servers. Google Fonts privacy information
- Advertising: the game page loads Google AdSense code (see below). Google Privacy Policy
Advertising and cookies
This site uses Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Ads are not placed inside the game screens (spins, player selection, the season or the result).
Your consent choices (UK, EEA and Switzerland)
If you visit from the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you may be shown a consent message from Google asking for your choices about advertising cookies and how your data is used for ads. That message is provided and managed by Google through AdSense, not by the game.
